Always Check Your Webpage Code

This Technology New post is for new
web designers and serves as good reminder
for the more experienced web design guru.

No one understands the hard work that is
involved in web design more than our Ohio website design company. The hours and pages of code you write can all begin to blend together. And there will be times when we will miss something small that will have big consequences and will actually hinder the marketing effectiveness of your website. This will not make your client happy and it will cause hours of trying to correct the problem.

These mistakes range from not closing your tags to improper placement of meta tags. Most mistakes are caused simply by not paying attention or moving to quickly. And let’s be honest at times it is just due to plain laziness. So what can you do to help reduce these mistakes and make sure that your designs are coded properly for maximum effectiveness.

Are there any tools available that can help us check our code for errors? While there are no perfect tools out there and the best deterrent against errors is ourselves there are two tools you need to get to know. The first is the W3C Markup Validation Service and the W3C CSS Validation Service. These two services have been life savers for our design company. These services will crawl your websites HTML and CSS files looking for any errors and spit back any they errors found. This gives you the opportunity to go back and fix any of those errors in your HTML and CSS files. Once those errors have been fixed your code will validate meaning that it is error free and has been coded for maximum effectiveness.

We highly recommend these two tools. We think you will find them very useful and that you will be turning to them time and time again.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
